So what is cohousing?
Quite frankly, we think it's the best way to live, or else we wouldn't be living here.
Cohousing is a form of intentional community. (Think "21st century village.") Cohousing communties tend to resemble a neighborhood, but with more walkways and fewer cars. A defining element of a cohousing community is the "common house", where meals are shared, birthdays are celebrated, and yes, house concerts happen! Neighbors know, engage and support each other more than happens in typical neighborhoods. We work together to maintain the land and the community. Decisions are usually made by some form of consensus. And we try to tread lightly on the earth.
Here at Nyland Cohousing, ours is a special community. Set on 42 acres with the Rocky Mountains as a striking backdrop, we are one of the oldest and largest communities in the country. Come check us out.
